We collect you from your hotel or the port in the morning. To begin, start at Khasab Fort, the town’s best-known landmark. The restored fort holds a small museum on traditional life in Musandam, with crafts, old weapons and the story of the town’s life at sea. Drive through the town to the harbour for photos of the dhows against the mountains.
Then take the coast road north, squeezed between the Gulf of Oman and the mountains, to Bukha. Its fort stands near the waterfront and recalls the town’s place in coastal trade and defence. Wander or drive through the little town to see a quieter side of Musandam. Return along the coast to Khasab.
